About Us
The Caribbean Association of Madison (CAM) was formed in 1994 as a forum to bring together people of Caribbean descent and friends of the Caribbean in Wisconsin and neighboring communities to preserve and disseminate the rich culture, history and heritage of its people.
Charitable and civic activities of CAM include donations to the Haiti Relief Fund, a local community center and a community radio station. CAM also assisted in fund raising for the Salvation Army and conducted a clothing drive to benefit students from the Caribbean who are attending college in Illinois.
The Association, which is exempt under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, provides services that promote and encourage the collective cultural, social, educational and economic welfare of its membership and the community by engaging in charitable, civic, and educational activities.
